Right now, the ad slot is on the right side of the page, 150 pixels by 425 pixels. We will have 5 ads rotating through this slot. The ads will load randomly, so your ad will show approximately 20% of the time any page within Bandit Merch is loaded. Since Bandit Merch is just beginning, we do not have an accurate measurement of the traffic flow through the site, but we have a pretty good idea. Because of this uncertainty, the advertising will be extremely inexpensive through the end of 2007. We will reevaluate the costs in 2008.

Since our first band, La Dispute, began advertising their merch for sale on their Myspace, we have seen over 350 hits come into Bandit Merch. That was in one month, from one band. Now we have 9 bands and are on pace to have over 100 bands by September 2008. We are predicting over 60,000 hits by September 2008.

We also have an even less expensive way to advertise to our visitors. On the bottom of every Bandit Merch page, there is a "Partners" link that shows our partners in business which may be: friends, advertisers, record companies, or just companies we admire. For as low as $1/month, you can have your company's name, logo, website, etc. listed in that section.
